Sustaining the Eco-System
Wilden’s eco-conscious developer has made significant environmental investments, especially in wetland enhancement. Several ponds in Wilden are now a haven for many species of plants, birds and aquatic life. When you move to Wilden you will receive a booklet, “Guide to the Wild Side” by author Deborah Greeves, in which you can learn all about the fascinating ecosystem that surrounds you.
But not only the ponds themselves; their connectivity is vital to healthy wildlife populations. Green wildlife corridors provide a safe passage to Wilden’s deer. To help facilitate wildlife movement between wetlands, safe underpasses beneath the roads are being incorporated in the development. The Western Painted Turtle can migrate safely across Union Road through a tunnel.
